With over 150 years of combined experience, Griffin Academy instructors and administrators are skilled in providing all the tools and services necessary to ensure that every foster care teen is prepared to successfully transition into adulthood after foster care.
From GED courses and Independent Living Life Skills to Vocational Training and enrollment in Community College, Griffin Academy provides each foster care youth the skills to make a lasting and positive difference in their lives .

Griffin Academy provides pick-up and drop-off transportation for every Griffin youth within our 5 county service area.
MEALS

* Youth with special dietary needs and/or allergies will be provided with a modified menu
Bringing together the sense of family and support is the goal of our new innovative 27,000 square foot training facility.
* Focusing on the Trades, Academics and Workplace tools, youth study and work in small, focused learning groups. This approach increases the attention each youth receives from instructors.

Griffin Academy accepts placements for foster care teens ages 16-17. Teens , in the custody of ODJFS, must be able to complete the course curriculum. A complete lists of requirements for admission will be sent to the requesting agency.

A. Foster Care Teens meeting the admission criteria ages 16-17.
Q. What geographic area is eligible for enrollment in Griffin Academy?
A. Foster Care Teens currently placed in Montgomery, Greene, Preble, Darke and Miami County.
Q. What are the Griffin Academy hours of operation?
A. Classes will be held from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday year round.
Q. Does a Foster Care Teen have to wait for a new semester to begin classes?
A. Understanding the nature of Foster Care Placements, Griffin Academy will begin a new "class" each month to ensure that ALL eligible Foster Care Teens can begin preparing for successful emancipation from the foster care system without a prolonged delay of services.
