Griffin Academy instructors and administrators are skilled in providing all the tools and services to ensure that each foster care teen is fully prepared to successfully transition into adulthood after foster care.
From GED courses and Independent Living Life Skills to Vocational Training, Griffin Academy provides each foster care youth the in-demand skilled labor program pathways to get a head-start on their careers and college goals necessary for success. We surpass the Federal Mandates for Independent Living Training requirements.

Griffin Academy is a proud to announce our new day training program. This includes vocational training in electrical, welding, carpentry, HVAC and plumbing skills.
Griffin Academy accepts placements for foster care teens ages 15-17. Teens , in the custody of ODJFS, must be able to complete the course curriculum. A complete lists of requirements for admission will be sent to the requesting agency.

A. Foster Care Teens currently placed in Montgomery, Warren, Preble, Darke and Miami County.
Q. What are the Griffin Academy hours of operation?
A. Classes will be held from 8 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday year round.
Q. Does a Foster Care Teen have to wait for a new semester to begin classes?
A. Understanding the nature of Foster Care Placements, Griffin Academy will begin a new "class" each month to ensure that ALL eligible Foster Care Teens can begin preparing for successful emancipation from the foster care system without a prolonged delay of services.
